What do kids read in December and over the holidays? We wanted to know, so we took a look at what children’s books were most frequently checked out from libraries. Using 2024 data from several county and public libraries across California, we found children couldn’t get enough of the Dog Man series, “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” and other graphic book series.
