Transportation and supply chain service provider Ryder System Inc. has acquired Truck Service Depot, an Atlanta-based mobile maintenance business servicing commercial trucks and trailers in Georgia.Miami-based Ryder said the move strengthens and expands its “Torque by Ryder” retail mobile maintenance business offering, accelerating the growth of that product solution. For example, in another recent acquisition, Ryder in 2024 bought Pit Stop Fleet Service, a Florida firm that services commercial vehicles through the Southeast U.S.With this latest acquisition, Torque by Ryder retail mobile maintenance services are now available across 27 states delivering comprehensive support to customers across a wide range of vehicles, including commercial trucks, trailers, delivery vans, refrigerated vehicles, construction and utility vehicles, passenger and shuttle buses, forklifts, and emergency response vehicles.Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Truck Service Depot operates with more than 20 technicians and runs two physical locations: a 10-bay drive-through maintenance facility in Atlanta, GA, and a service center in Savannah, GA.Ryder says it will transition the combined organizations to maintain uninterrupted services for customers by integrating Truck Service Depot employees, assets, and operations into its Torque by Ryder network throughout 2026.
