Manchester has emerged as the UK’s leading city for weight-loss drug interest, according to new research, highlighting a rapid rise in demand for medical weight-loss solutions across the country. The study, conducted by 4Bellu, analysed monthly online searches for popular weight-loss medications, including Mounjaro, Ozempic, Wegovy, and general search terms such as “weight loss injection,” standardised per 100,000 people to identify regional patterns in public interest. Glasgow and Leeds follow in second and third place, with 10,149 and 7,809 searches per 100,000 people, respectively. Notably, London, despite its size and population, ranked fourth, suggesting that regional cities are driving significant engagement with weight-loss solutions outside the capital. Other cities in the top ten include Plymouth, Birmingham, Newcastle upon Tyne, Fife, Bristol, and Blackburn. The surge in searches mirrors broader market trends. Between 2024 and 2025, 1.6 million people in the UK reportedly used weight-loss medications, while a further 3.3 million indicated they would consider using them this year. Experts say this demonstrates the growing mainstream adoption of pharmacological approaches to weight management, alongside rising interest in complementary products, including non-prescription options from faja body shaper suppliers and other body-contouring solutions. A spokesperson for 4Bellu said the research reflects a shift in consumer behaviour. “Search data provides a…
