As Mardi Gras approaches, Jason’s Deli is bringing New Orleans–inspired flavor to the celebration with its iconic Muffaletta and a limited-time catering package designed for easy hosting. A longtime part of the brand’s menu, Jason’s Deli’s Muffaletta features ham, salami, provolone, Swiss and its signature, house-made olive mix served on a toasted muffaletta loaf. The sandwich’s roots trace back nearly 50 years, when founder Joe Tortorice Jr. traveled to New Orleans to source authentic muffaletta bread from Leidenheimer Baking Company — a partnership that continues today — while the brand’s olive salad is still made fresh using a family recipe. Available through Feb. 17, hosts can also order the Mardi Gras Package, which feeds up to 10 and includes 12 Ham and Salami Muffaletta slices, seafood gumbo with rice, homemade potato salad and a dozen cookies, available for delivery or pickup.
