Lee Health, a five-hospital system based in Fort Myers, Fla., recently promoted Nariman Heshmati, MD, to chief clinical officer. Dr. Heshmati joined Lee Health in August 2024 as chief physician and operations executive at the system’s physician group, according to his LinkedIn profile. He has previously worked at Optum and Renton, Wash.-based Providence, and has served as president of the Washington State Medical Association. In a LinkedIn post, Dr. Heshmati said he is “profoundly grateful” for the teams at Lee Physician Group, where he led efforts to improve patient access, restructure medical group leadership, enhance clinician wellness and expand value-based care.
