Team members and children at Partou Willowdene Nursery and Pre-school in Widnes will be pulling on Christmas jumpers and elf hats next Tuesday (9 December) to walk, skip, jog and run around the town to support Halton Haven Hospice. Founded in 1984, the hospice provides specialist palliative care to people from Halton and surrounding areas who are living with terminal conditions. The Elf Run is one of several fundraising ventures held throughout the year to assist its work. And Partou Willowdene participants are not holding back in their determination to play a full part, with one team member dressing up in an elf suit for the occasion. Hayley McCue, Partou Willowdene Nursery Manager, said: “We have volunteered to complete the Elf Run to help a really important service in our local community. “Halton Haven Hospice is a deeply caring and empathetic place, which we feel embraces Partou’s own core values of care and compassion. “We hope the people of Widnes and beyond will get behind what my team and the children are doing by making a donation.” Karen Rowe, Fundraising Manager at Halton Haven Hospice, said: “We are absolutely thrilled that the children at Willowdene Nursery are taking part in our Elf Run this year. “We’re also super impressed to hear about the adult elf joining in.
