100 Thieves have claimed the Valorant trophy today at Esports World Cup 2026, triumphing over local rival and reigning champions winners NRG Esports. After a 3-1 match in the grand final, 100 Thieves will take home the $600,000 first place prize and 1,000 Club Championship points. The Esports World Cup started this past week after relocating from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to Paris because of the Iran War. The victory gives Valorant star Peter “Asuna” Mazuryk his first major international trophy, after more than five years with 100 Thieves, the club he joined when he was 17. He has stuck with 100 Thieves for most of his professional Valorant career so far, and now after rebuilding the roster core with some exciting rookies, he has finally managed to lift the international trophy he has been searching for. “We have an amazing coaching staff, an amazing in-game leader, and we just meshed really well, and it took us a while to get going, but I’m glad we hit our peak right at the right time,” said Peter “Asuna” Mazuryk, in a statement. 100 Thieves took the victory over VCT Americas rival NRG in overtime on the fourth map of the best-of-five final, after comfortably taking the first two maps.
