A lot of players got into Atlus’ beloved RPG series with the fourth entry back on the PS2 (or PS Vita). Though Persona 3 is often viewed as the true start of the series at its best, Persona 4 was a paradigm shift for all things Shin Megami Tensei, as gamers from around the world learned about the joys of balancing high school life with dungeon crawling. It was a moreish combination of social elements, challenging combat, and lovable characters that felt incredibly novel at the time, and still has plenty of juice in the concept to this day.
