MTA Long Island Railroad (LIRR) has awarded TekTracking LLC, a provider of intelligent infrastructure management software for the rail industry, to deploy two flagship platforms across its network: the Track Inspection Management & Planning System (TIMPS) and the Signal/Crossing Inspection & Testing Efficiency (SITE). TIMPS provides LIRR’s track department with an end-to-end digital platform for managing the full lifecycle of track inspections, including scheduling and assignment through field and autonomous vehicle data collection, defect management, remediation tracking and FRA compliance reporting.
